there's a first-year teacher at the school i'm student teaching at. i always liked her cuz she's young, asian, and more on the quiet/shy/introverted side--just like me. we both teach english as well. but today my cooperating teacher took me to observe her teach and i finally realized we're not as alike as i thought! at first glance we have a similar disposition, but she carries herself with a bit more confidence, and her teaching style is very different. i'm silly, smiley, chatty, moving around a lot, making little jokes all the time. she walked around slowly, surely, with ✨grace✨. she was much more subdued, much more straightforward, and friendly but serious. also her classroom is very dark academia and i am very light academia lol. i'm beginning to suspect we're yin and yang opposites. i kind of love that ♥︎
