we call it fall because Leaf Fall Down

 i'm so grateful it's september. it's fall. it's leaf season. absolutely my favorite time of the year. i have big plans:

• carve a beautiful pumpkin
• give Halloween candy to kids in my new neighborhood
• go to a haunted house for the first time ever
• go to a pumpkin farm and feed bread to cows
• watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time ever
• read Frankenstein and/or Dracula for the second time ever
• go for a picnic

i'm so happy.

77th

 a random church lady is asking if i can tutor her 16 year old son.

i really want to say yes? i love to be helpful, and they would certainly appreciate my help. they're offering to pay too. their expectations are pretty clear, and the son seems like a hard worker. he got a very high PSAT score last year.

but i'm also pretty swamped with my job :( i already teach 76 middle schoolers... it might be a stretch to believe i can tutor a 77th kid on the weekends. it sounds doable. i just don't know if it actually is. i'm worried i'll say yes and then wildly regret it and have to rescind on my offer. that, or we'll discover i'm a terrible tutor and they'll fire me. 💀

well. you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. maybe i'll just. give it try? anyway?
