bookishghostWell. Today I walked the stage and graduated from university! I now have a bachelor's degree in English! I'm also very nearly about to have a teaching license, once the paperwork goes through! I should be excited and proud and relieved to be done, but I'm just kind of... here tbh. I guess it hasn't really hit me yet? I've actually been a little bit sad all day because all my classmates are posting gorgeous photos of themselves, whereas my family couldn't even manage to get One decent photo of me on stage. I told them they had one job, and they failed spectacularly. I'm almost impressed at how badly it turned out. They're truly the worst photographers alive. And I'm not super happy with the scant few other photos we took today.
But it's okay. Except I haven't gotten any job offers yet, and I'm nervous about that. I've managed to forget about it until right now, actually. I'm real busy this week with packing and moving to a new apartment, and then I'm going straight to Taiwan for two weeks. So that'll be fun. Probably. Except all I can think of right now is the fact that I'm unemployed and my savings are running out like a child out the door for the ice cream truck. (Most random analogy I've ever invented.)
But it's the year of being brave! So I will simply be brave and go to Taiwan and have as much fun as possible (and take as many photos as possible, preferably with different photographers), and then I will come back and go job hunting, and everything will go well because everything always goes well for me. I will be just fine.
