i'm very tired.

i want to live i want to love i want to laugh!! i want to dance and make poetry and read books and volunteer to make people smile and watch an insightful video essay and write my long-overdue penpal letters and eat ice cream on a park bench and cry at a cat cafe and try one of those lattes with art made of foam and people-watch and cloud-watch and have a bubble bath and sign up for... a class, any class at all. i want to be Here.
but there's no time for any of that. instead i'm working 80 hours a week trying to work out how i'm supposed to wrangle 80 students into a learning headspace where they can get Any Work Done Whatsoever and Make Some Half-Hearted Attempt to Pass My Class. some of them are great and work hard and there is growth happening. and then some of them are simply awful. i didn't know kids could be so awful.
idk if i am capable of Being Assertive, truth be told. maybe i'm not cut out for this after all.
